Carlotta P. Jarvis is the President and founding attorney of the Law Office of Carlotta P. Jarvis, PC, where she has represented clients in complex civil, criminal and immigration matters since 1996. With decades of litigation experience, she has successfully handled cases involving personal injury, family law, immigration, employment matters, criminal defense, and other civil disputes.

Ms. Jarvis has recovered substantial settlements and judgments on behalf of personal injury clients, advocating for those seriously injured and seeking compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages.In addition, Ms. Jarvis has more than twenty years of experience representing individuals and families in immigration matters. She handles family-based petitions, asylum claims, and other forms of immigration relief, and regularly appears before immigration courts and at client interviews.

Before entering private practice, Ms. Jarvis served for nearly a decade at the New York County District Attorney’s Office as a Senior Assistant District Attorney and later, Homicide Assistant District Attorney. In these roles, she prosecuted hundreds of felony cases, conducted numerous jury trials, presented cases to grand juries, and coordinated investigations with local and federal law enforcement agencies. Her background also includes extensive work in white-collar crime, organized crime, and complex investigations.

Ms. Jarvis earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brooklyn College. She is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions and is an active member of several bar associations. Her unique perspective as both a former prosecutor and seasoned defense attorney allows her to provide clients with knowledgeable, effective, and results-driven representation.
